Zacuto’s Zwing-away adapter is light (only 6.75 oz), inexpensive, and simple to use. Attach the Zwing-away adapter to your already existing 15mm lightweight rods, attach your existing matte box to the Zwing-away adapter rods and now your matte can swing-away.
There is no need to throw away your current matte box to achieve the swing-away design, just purchase the Zwing-away adapter!
